The owner of restaurant brands such as Harvey's and Swiss Chalet, Recipe wanted a dedicated franchising website that would appeal to entrepreneurs. It was our job to deliver a site that honours the individual character of each brand, while still feeling unified under the Recipe banner.
Working with so many different brands—each of which brings a distinct character—presented a challenge during design. Ultimately it was decided that each deserved a page with its own look and feel. To accommodate this we defined separate styles for type, iconography, calls to action and more.
FRANCONNECT CRM INTEGRATION
FranConnect is a CRM software system designed specifically for franchisors. This integration project allowed us to funnel leads directly from the website into FranConnect, which helps Recipe manage franchise opportunities for all of its brands. Integration occurs at each of the lead-generation forms throughout the site.
Every brand gets the video treatment with a quick walkthrough. The idea was to show prospective franchisees a typical restaurant inside and out, so they could get to know the unique character and aspects of each brand.
Using the Google Maps API, we integrated a map of franchise opportunities and refined the user experience. When a visitor arrives to the map from a brand page, it's pre-filtered to show opportunities specific to the brand. Adding an opportunity in the back-end is as simple as inputting the map coordinates.
Content is more concise, which allowed for a simpler UX and a cleaner, more modern presentation geared to convert.
The new site is also better suited to the needs of Recipe’s marketing team.
