Best Practices in Usability
We adhere to industry-leading design systems such as Google Material Design to remain consistent with best practices in usability.
Wireframes and User Flows
Before jumping into user interface (UI) design, we explore our ideas in lo-fidelity format, stripping away the superficial to focus on user experience. This also promotes faster iterations, refinements and approvals.
Conducting workshops and using collaboration tools such as InVision promotes a transparent process with our clients. This free flow of ideas and feedback helps us arrive at the optimal design for the end user.
By mirroring the final experience with hi-fidelity prototypes, we can further refine ideas before moving into development. For some clients, the prototype can be a powerful tool for generating investment buzz in their app.
We know that your app will need to evolve as your business grows or user needs change. To facilitate smoother updates, we design with scalability in mind and start each project with a detailed discovery process.
Our UX/UI Design Process for Mobile
Research and Ideation
Before starting design, we conduct a detailed discovery phase that gets to the heart of your business and defines the most important user actions. If you're transitioning from a legacy app, we analyze it to identify the biggest friction points for current users and your business.
User flows are a critical first step in our design process. This charts and streamlines the flow of users throughout the app, before we move into lo-fidelity wireframes. User stories, personas and analytics also help shape our UX design process.
UI design transforms the user experience into a series of hi-fidelity screens, including a fully branded interface with everything from signup and login process, to key interactions, notifications and error messages.
Using InVision, we convert the UI design into an interactive prototype at mobile resolution. This gives us and the client a chance to experience the app before coding, and produces valuable feedback that can help with refinements.
