What Makes a Good Website Design Part Five

This will involve a lot of different factors, and you need to consider the first page your visitors see, which pages you want them to see next and how many different pages you want to include. Is your web design going to involve a comprehensive description of your site or is it going to be a few simple pages that give off more of a ‘vibe’ or a ‘feel’. Again this will depend on the nature of your business.
Your web design will also need to opt for a menu system. This might be a menu that goes at the top of the page, the bottom of a page or one side of the page. Alternatively you might not have a menu as such but links scattered around the site, or a ‘next’ button to filter visitors through your pages in a linear fashion. Here it’s highly important to make sure that you navigation is simple and pleasant. Assume that the web design is aimed at someone who hasn’t used the internet before and is just learning how to use menus and links – as many of your visitors won’t have used it before. It’s highly important then that someone who has never been to your site before is able to quickly and easily figure out how to use the navigation, what the various buttons do etc, and that they find this navigation pleasant to use.
