CARA has a history of entrepreneurship and transformation that dates back over a hundred years. The restaurant company, owner of beloved brands like Swiss Chalet and Harvey’s, wanted to reinvent itself again, this time with a website to attract new franchisees. We responded with a sleek, modern design that creatively integrates seven brands within one cohesive presentation. A user-friendly CMS allows admin to easily manage franchise opportunities, while an intuitive inquiry process is designed to maximize lead generation.

Cara wanted to expand its restaurant conversion efforts in a creative way. As part of a website expansion, we implemented a 3D gallery of real restaurant transformations to help prospective franchisees envision the possibilities.

For Here and to Go

An ambitious design concept presented some hurdles in making the website mobile-friendly, but our development team was up to the challenge. No small feat considering that nearly 40% of all visitors access the site with a smartphone or tablet.


FranConnect is a CRM software system designed specifically for franchisors. This integration project allowed us to funnel leads directly from the website into FranConnect, which helps Cara manage franchise opportunities for its full roster of brands. Integration occurs at each of the many lead-generation forms throughout the site.
