This custom website blends a muted colour palette with clean lines and subtle textures for a decidedly modern and masculine feel. Bursts of colour—in 3D renderings, fabric close-ups, lifestyle photography—are designed to catch the eye and guide visitors toward the dress shirt design tool, the website’s main feature.

We photographed each of the more than 100 fabrics from a variety of angles and depths to show distinct characteristics like weave, colour and thickness.

As a new business, Clive Richard was a full creative endeavor—from designing the brand, stationery and product packaging, to rendering each of the 100+ shirt fabrics into photorealistic 3D so the user’s design changes could be displayed in real-time.

BRAND IDENTITY

The Clive Richard brand can be summed up as high-end but approachable. In designing the logo, stationery and other brand assets we used a muted colour scheme, simple shapes and distinct but readable typography that would appeal to a masculine demographic.

Custom Design from the Comfort of Home

For this web-based app, we designed a simple UX and highly visual interface that lets users customize any or every detail of their dress shirt—from basics like fabric and collar style to the finer details like buttons and monograming. Changes appear in real-time on photrealistic 3D shirts. When done customizing, users can input and save their shirt measurements in a password-protected profile for easy future orders.

Putting the Word out

An integrated approach to digital marketing helped get the new brand off the ground. Efforts included PPC campaigns, email marketing to advertise sales and events, and social media posts on the channels that fit best.

A Seamless Online Shopping Experience

Attention to detail didn’t end with the shirt design tool. We meticulously developed, tested and refined the ecommerce experience in the same spirit of simplicity—no extra steps or bells and whistles. Measuring takes some time and effort, so we wanted to let customers easily enter, save and edit their details in a measurement profile. In the same login area they can view past orders and re-order with a new or previously used fabric. Behind the scenes, a user-friendly CMS makes it quick and easy to manage products, including adding new shirts, changing prices, generating promo codes and more.

TAILORED TO MOBILE DEVICES

These days designing for mobile isn't just fashionable, it's practical. To make it easier for staff to input measurements and process orders, we developed a mobile app for use at tradeshows and client appointments. The app is a simplified version of the design interface and comes with extra features like the ability to take and send pictures to the manufacturer.
